Teach Now Limited is seeking a Year 1 / Year 2 Teaching Assistant to support KS1 pupils with a focus on phonics in a Barnet school.
You will deliver small-group phonics sessions, support whole-class learning, and help create an engaging, inclusive classroom environment. Strong communication, warmth and teamwork are essential for this temporary, full-time role starting September 2026.

Teach Now is delighted to be recruiting a Year 1 / Year 2 Teaching Assistant for a warm, welcoming primary school in Barnet. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced KS1 Teaching Assistant who enjoys working closely with children and has confidence delivering small-group phonics interventions.
Working within either a Year 1 or Year 2 classroom, you will play an important part in supporting pupils academically, socially and emotionally. You will work alongside the class teacher to provide high-quality general classroom support while also taking responsibility for targeted phonics sessions.
The school currently follows Twinkl Phonics. Previous experience with Twinkl Phonics would be useful but is not essential; strong practical experience delivering phonics interventions is the key requirement.
