Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking Primary Supply Teachers (SEND) to cover Sheffield and surrounding areas with flexible start dates, offering both part-time and full-time roles and competitive PAYE daily rates. This is a great chance to work in a rewarding SEND environment.

The role involves supporting students with SEND across a range of needs, collaborating with LSA colleagues, and delivering engaging lessons while maintaining high classroom standards.

Qualifications

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Primary or Secondary subject specialism.
  • Experience working with children with a variety of SEND needs.
  • Previous experience within a similar specialist setting or transferable from mainstream.
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of SEND Teachers and LSAs
  • Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with pupils who have SEND to advance their learning in lessons and in wider school life.
  • Work with a dedicated team of SEND teachers and LSAs to deliver lessons.
  • Plan and deliver inspiring, inclusive lessons tailored to varied SEND needs.
  • Maintain a positive, safe classroom environment and manage challenging behaviours as needed.
  • Collaborate with school staff to support pupil progression and well-being.

To be considered for the position of SEND Teacher, you will need to:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Primary or Secondary subject specialism.
  • Experience working with children with a variety of SEND including but not limited to, MLD/SLD/PMLD/ASD/SEMH/SEBD/PD/VI/HI and other complex needs or behaviours that challenge.
  • Have previous experience within a similar specialist setting or strong transferable experience from a mainstream setting.
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of SEND Teachers and LSA's
  • Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons.

As a SEND Teacher this is a great chance to shape the future of students and make a positive impact on their lives. In this role you will work with the most vulnerable students, advancing their education in lessons and in wider school life. The role will require you to engage with pupils who have needs such as MLD, ASC, ADHD, SLD and SEMH. The right candidate must be confident within the classroom and dealing with challenging behaviours.
