Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd. is actively seeking Secondary SEND Teachers to join our Sheffield network. We place teachers in both day-to-day and long-term roles across SEND settings, pairing you with a specialist consultant to find ideal schools.

We offer flexible working and long-term opportunities, with pay rates discussed at registration and commensurate with experience and qualifications. DBS checks and safeguarding commitments are emphasised across all placements.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Primary or Secondary subject specialism.
• Have previous experience within a SEND setting or strong transferable experience from a mainstream setting.
• Desire to become part of a committed SEND teaching team and embrace each school’s ethos.
• Enthusiasm for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons.
• Training such as Team Teach, Mappa, Makaton, PECS moves are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in SEND settings.
• Adapt teaching methods to support learners with diverse needs.
• Collaborate with LSAs and school teams to support student progress.

The role

Vision for Education are a leading supply agency, specialising in day to day or long-term roles in SEND schools. A specialist SEND consultant will work closely with you to find your ideal role and school/s.

The requirements

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Primary or Secondary subject specialism
• Have previous experience within a SEND setting or strong transferable experience from a mainstream setting
• Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of SEND Teachers and LSA’s and embrace each school’s unique ethos
• Have an enthusiasm for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons
• Additional SEND training such as Team Teach, Mappa, Makaton, PECS, moving and handling is highly desirable
