Job summary

Vision For Education Ltd. is seeking Primary SEND teachers to work in Sheffield and surrounding areas with both part-time and full-time roles. Flexible start dates and daily rates paid to scale, with rate variations based on experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate will hold QTS (primary or secondary specialist) and have experience with a range of SEND needs, such as MLD/SLD/PMLD/ASD/SEMH/SEBD, and a passion for planning and delivering engaging lessons within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS Primary or Secondary subject specialism.
• Experience working with children with a variety of SEND needs.
• Experience in a specialist SEND setting or transferable experience from mainstream.
• Desire to be part of a committed SEND teaching team.
• Passion for planning and delivering inspiring lessons.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for SEND students.
• Support pupils with needs such as MLD/ASC/ADHD/SLD/SEMH.
• Collaborate with SEND teachers and LSAs to support progress.
• Contribute to wider school life and safeguarding.

To be considered for the position of SEND Teacher, you will need to:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Primary or Secondary subject specialism.
• Experience working with children with a variety of SEND including but not limited to, MLD/SLD/PMLD/ASD/SEMH/SEBD/PD/VI/HI and other complex needs or behaviours that challenge.
• Have previous experience within a similar specialist setting or strong transferable experience from a mainstream setting.
• Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of SEND Teachers and LSA’s
• Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons.

As a SEND Teacher this is a great chance to shape the future of students and make a positive impact on their lives. In this role you will work with the most vulnerable students, advancing their education in lessons and in wider school life. The role will require you to engage with pupils who have needs such as MLD, ASC, ADHD, SLD and SEMH. The right candidate must be confident within the classroom and dealing with challenging behaviours.
