Cover People are currently looking for enthusiastic Primary Teachers to work across a range of schools in Rochdale. We have teaching positions available for those seeking regular supply work, short-term placements or a longer-term opportunity.

This could be a great fit for an experienced teacher, ECT or someone looking to return to the classroom.

Job Details

Role: Primary Teacher
Location: Rochdale
Start: September 2026
Contract: Day-to-day, short-term and long-term opportunities
Hours: Monday to Friday
Pay: £130 £170 per day DOE.

What You ll Do

• Lead engaging lessons that follow school planning and the Primary curriculum.
• Make appropriate adjustments to teaching and activities to support different learning needs.
• Set clear expectations and create a classroom environment that is positive and purposeful.
• Manage behaviour confidently while maintaining a calm and supportive atmosphere.
• Check pupil understanding and respond to progress throughout the school day.
• Work alongside Teaching Assistants and other school staff to support learning.
• Encourage pupils to become confident, independent and enthusiastic learners.

Requirements

• An up-to-date CV including your full education and employment history.
• Proof of Right to Work and UK address.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
• At least 2 professional references.
• A professional and dependable approach to work.

All pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay where applicable.
