Responsibilities

As a Primary Supply Teacher, your key duties will include:

1. Delivering engaging and effective lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2 (depending on your preference and experience)
2. Following pre-set lesson plans and adapting teaching methods to suit varying learner needs
3. Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
4. Supporting pupils’ social and emotional development
5. Providing feedback to the school’s teaching staff after each placement
6. Arriving punctually and prepared, maintaining professionalism in every school you attend

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential
• Degree in Education or a relevant subject – Required
• Recent classroom experience (within the last 2 years preferred)
• A clear and up-to-date Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Adaptability and the ability to manage change in a fast-paced environment
• Driving licence and own transport – beneficial, especially for rural placements
