TeacherActive is working with a welcoming primary SEND school in Sutton Coldfield that supports children with Autism / ASD, cognitive and learning needs, and non-verbal pupils. The school provides a nurturing, structured environment where every child is encouraged to develop academically, socially and emotionally through personalised learning and specialist support.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Primary Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start.

Qualifications

• QTS status required; ECTs welcome.
• Experience teaching children with Autism/ASD in a SEND setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with cognitive and learning needs and non-verbal pupils.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support strategies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Patient, adaptable and positive approach to teaching.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support pupils with additional needs.
• Promote communication, independence and positive outcomes for learners.

Job Title: Primary Teacher

Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £160 - £220 per day

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Primary Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful Primary Teacher will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons, work closely with a skilled multidisciplinary team, and support pupils with a range of additional needs while promoting communication, independence and positive outcomes.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:

• QTS (ECTs are also welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching children with Autism / ASD and additional learning needs within a SEND setting
• Experience supporting pupils with cognitive and learning needs and non-verbal children
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support strategies
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A patient, adaptable and positive approach to teaching
