Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Primary Teacher to join a Blaenau Gwent school. You will plan and deliver engaging Year 6 lessons, ensuring strong behaviour management while supporting pupils with varying abilities.

The role is fixed-term, three days per week, with PAYE pay, and access to CPD courses and 24/7 consultant support through TeacherActive.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher status with primary experience.

Job Title: Primary Teacher

Salary: £172.98 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a supportive primary school in Blaenau Gwent, where pupils and staff work, pray, share and learn together. The school works in partnership with parents and the parish to ensure each child develops academically, spiritually, physically and socially.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Primary Teacher on a long-term temporary basis, working 3 days per week with a Year 6 class. The successful Primary Teacher will be expected to deliver engaging lessons, maintain strong classroom management and confidently support pupils who may display challenging behaviour.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:

• QTS (NQTs are also welcomed to apply)


• Experience teaching within a primary school


• Experience teaching Key Stage 2 / KS2, ideally Year 6


• Excellent classroom and behaviour management


• A confident and resilient approach to challenging behaviour


• Strong communication and organisational skills
