Job summary

Witherslack Group is hiring a Primary Teacher for our Secret Garden school in Coventry, with an exciting plan to expand in Autumn 2026. The role starts in January, focusing on pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and SEMH needs, and aims to deliver outstanding educational experiences.

You will join a well-resourced environment with in-house psychologists, TAs and therapy professionals to support learning, development and wellbeing, building a rewarding teaching career with strong progression

Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous teaching experience is required.
• Experience working with pupils with special educational needs is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Teach pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
• Plan engaging lessons and activities to raise self-esteem and learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with in-house psychologists, teaching assistants and therapy professionals.

We are proud to announce our plans to expand the Secret Garden school opening in the Autumn of 2026.

This will take the form of a purpose-built, state-of-the-art primary campus and will cater for up to 40 pupils with a wide range of needs, including autism and social, emotional, and mental health needs. This exciting new opportunity will continue to serve Coventry and the wider communities; and will further enhance the first-class service that the Secret Garden has always delivered.
