Job summary

Witherslack Group in the Tees Valley is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and SEMH needs. You’ll help them learn, develop abilities, and raise their self-esteem within a well-resourced school setting.

You’ll need to be resilient and committed, ready to collaborate with teachers and therapists. Our roles include full induction, ongoing training, and a generous benefits package, with a focus on inclusion and progression

Qualifications

  • Experience in a classroom is preferred; training will be provided.
  • Resilience and dedication to helping children learn and develop.
  • Ability to support pupils with SEMH needs and ASD.

Responsibilities

  • Help children learn, develop abilities and raise self-esteem.
  • Work closely with teachers and therapists to support pupils.
  • Contribute to a positive, well-resourced learning environment.
  • Assist with classroom activities and behaviour management as needed.
