Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a qualified Primary Teacher to join a mainstream primary school in Eastwood (NG16). You will teach Year 5 in a Year 5 classroom, plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess pupil progress, manage challenging behaviours and uphold high teaching standards.

ECTs are welcome to apply; strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum and exceptional classroom management are essential. Long-term, full-time role from ASAP to July 2027.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required; ECTs welcome.
• Experience teaching KS2, ideally Year 5.
• Experience managing challenging behaviours in a mainstream primary classroom.
• Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management strategies.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Eastwood, NG16, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Primary Teacher. The school is seeking a confident and adaptable individual who can establish clear expectations, build positive relationships with pupils and create a structured learning environment.

The school is looking to take on a Primary Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis from ASAP until July 2027, working within a Year 5 classroom. The successful Primary Teacher will take on full teaching responsibilities, including planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing pupil progress, managing challenging behaviours and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 / KS2, ideally Year 5
• Experience managing challenging behaviours within a mainstream primary classroom
• Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management strategies
• A confident, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching
