Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting for Primary Teachers to work across partner schools in Farnworth on a day-to-day, short-term, long-term or temp-to-perm basis, starting September 2026. You will gain experience across welcoming, inclusive and forward-thinking primary schools while maintaining the flexibility to choose when and where you work.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience teaching within a primary school setting is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging primary lessons across the curriculum.
  • Creating an inclusive classroom environment that supports all pupils.
  • Differentiating lessons to meet diverse learning needs, including SEND.
  • Assessing pupil progress and informing future planning.
  • Maintaining clear expectations and managing behaviour in line with policies.
  • Collaborating with support staff and school colleagues to support pupil needs.

We're currently recruiting for Primary Teachers to work across our partner schools in Farnworth on a day-to-day, short-term, long-term or temp-to-perm basis, starting September 2026.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, creative and purposeful lessons across the primary curriculum.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel confident, valued and motivated to learn.
  • Differentiating lessons and activities to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities, including those with SEND.
  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress and using this information to inform future planning.
  • Establishing clear expectations and managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence, independence and a love of learning.
  • Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and wider school staff to support individual pupil needs.
  • Maintaining accurate records of pupil progress and contributing to assessment processes.
  • Taking an active role in the wider life of the school and supporting enrichment opportunities where appropriate.
  • Developing positive relationships with parents, carers and the wider school community.
  • Upholding safeguarding procedures and promoting the welfare of all children and young people.

Requirements or Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience teaching within a primary school setting is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective teaching practices.
  • A genuine passion for education and helping children achieve their full potential.
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • The ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs.
  • A flexible, reliable and professional approach to working across different school settings.
  • The ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils, staff and the wider school community.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
