Job summary

Milk Education is seeking passionate Primary Teachers to join our partner schools across Leeds from September 2026, offering flexible, long-term and temp-to-perm opportunities that match your experience and career goals.

You’ll be delivering engaging lessons, supporting pupil development and creating a positive classroom environment in a range of Leeds primary schools. Roles include day-to-day, short-term, long-term and temp-to-perm placements with APSCo compliance and ongoing support.

Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching in a primary school.
  • Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting children to achieve their full potential.
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • A patient, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to teaching.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and work effectively as part of a wider school team.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging, creative and inclusive lessons across the primary curriculum.
  • Differentiating learning to meet the individual needs, abilities and learning styles of all pupils.
  • Creating a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.
  • Monitoring, assessing and recording pupil progress and using this information to inform future teaching.
  • Supporting pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND, where appropriate.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting pupils’ social, emotional and personal development.
  • Building strong and positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and wider school staff.
  • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, support staff and school leaders to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school and supporting extracurricular activities where appropriate.
  • Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Requirements or Skills:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching within a primary school setting.

  • Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
