Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a motivated Primary Teacher to join our partner schools in Farnworth on a day-to-day, short-term, long-term or temp-to-perm basis, starting September 2026. You will access training, development opportunities and ongoing support while enjoying the flexibility to choose when and where you work.

Primary Teacher – Farnworth

We’re currently recruiting for Primary Teachers to work across our partner schools in Farnworth on a day-to-day, short-term, long-term or temp-to-perm basis, starting September 2026.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Planning and delivering engaging, creative and purposeful lessons across the primary curriculum.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel confident, valued and motivated to learn.
  • Differentiating lessons and activities to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities, including those with SEND.
  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress and using this information to inform future planning.
  • Establishing clear expectations and managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence, independence and a love of learning.
  • Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and wider school staff to support individual pupil needs.
  • Maintaining accurate records of pupil progress and contributing to assessment processes.
  • Taking an active role in the wider life of the school and supporting enrichment opportunities where appropriate.
  • Developing positive relationships with parents, carers and the wider school community.
  • Upholding safeguarding procedures and promoting the welfare of all children and young people.
Requirements or Skills:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience teaching within a primary school setting is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective teaching practices.
  • A genuine passion for education and helping children achieve their full potential.
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • The ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs.
  • A flexible, reliable and professional approach to working across different school settings.
  • The ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils, staff and the wider school community.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
