Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher for assignments in the Epping and greater Essex area to cover temporary placements. The role requires QTS, flexibility across year groups, and a commitment to safeguarding and high educational standards.

The position runs full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, with potential for extension or permanency depending on school needs. Applicants must meet the standard qualifications and training requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be registered with the relevant teaching body.
• Ability to design and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.
• Experience delivering in different year groups and ability levels, including SEND and EAL pupils.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum and school expectations.
• Follow lesson plans and maintain continuity of learning during staff absence.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse pupil needs including SEND and EAL.
• Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
• Assess pupil understanding and provide constructive feedback to staff.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment and safeguard students.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and staff to support pupil progress.
• Provide clear handover notes on pupil progress and outcomes.

Start Date: 18/9/26

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

Contract: Full time

Dedicated and adaptable Primary Teacher with experience delivering high-quality teaching on various assignments across a range of schools in the Epping area. Skilled in quickly establishing positive relationships with pupils and staff, maintaining continuity of learning, and creating an engaging classroom environment. Experienced in delivering high quality, engaging lessons, managing classroom behaviour effectively, and ensuring pupils remain motivated and supported throughout temporary placements. Committed to maintaining high educational standards while adapting to the individual needs of each school and class.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum and school expectations.
• Follow lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning during staff absence.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities, including SEND and EAL learners.
• Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
• Assess pupil understanding and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff to support pupil progress.
• Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times.
• Provide clear handover notes on pupil progress and lesson outcomes.

• Has obtained and maintained Qualified Teacher Status.
• Has experience working with a range of different Special needs that pupils might face.
• Has a clear understanding of Safeguarding and keeping children safe in education.
• Is enthusiastic, reliable and committed to providing high-quality learning experiences.
• Can build strong, positive relationships with children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
