Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Epping is seeking a Dedicated Primary Teacher to join our supply team on a full-time basis. You will deliver high-quality lessons across year groups, ensuring continuity of learning when staff are absent and maintaining a positive classroom climate.

The ideal candidate holds QTS, is adaptable to different year groups and able to support pupils with SEND and EAL needs, while upholding safeguarding standards and supporting pupil progress.

Qualifications

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience delivering lessons across year groups and managing classroom behaviour.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum and school expectations.
  • Follow lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning during staff absence.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet varying abilities including SEND and EAL learners.
  • Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide feedback to staff.
  • Create a safe, inclusive learning environment and safeguard pupils.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and school staff to support pupil progress.
  • Adhere to safeguarding, health and safety and school policies.

Primary Teacher

Location: Epping

Start Date: 18/9/26
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Full time

Dedicated and adaptable Primary Teacher with experience delivering high-quality teaching on various assignments across a range of schools in the Epping area. Skilled in quickly establishing positive relationships with pupils and staff, maintaining continuity of learning, and creating an engaging classroom environment. Experienced in delivering high quality, engaging lessons, managing classroom behaviour effectively, and ensuring pupils remain motivated and supported throughout temporary placements. Committed to maintaining high educational standards while adapting to the individual needs of each school and class.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum and school expectations.
  • Follow lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning during staff absence.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities, including SEND and EAL learners.
  • Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
  • Assess pupil understanding and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff to support pupil progress.
  • Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times.
  • Provide clear handover notes on pupil progress and lesson outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an educator who:

  • Is adaptable and comfortable working with different year groups and ability levels.
  • Has obtained and maintained Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Has experience working with a range of different Special needs that pupils might face.
  • Has a clear understanding of Safeguarding and keeping children safe in education.
  • Is enthusiastic, reliable and committed to providing high-quality learning experiences.
  • Can build strong, positive relationships with children.

Working Hours

Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
