Job summary

Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated Cover supervisor in the Epping area to deliver engaging lessons across different year groups on temporary placements. The successful candidate will follow school plans, maintain continuity of learning, and support pupils with varying abilities including SEND and EAL learners.

The role is full-time with school hours 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, in the Epping and greater Essex area.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum and school expectations.
• Follow lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning during staff absence.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet pupils with varying abilities, including SEND and EAL learners.
• Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
• Assess pupil understanding and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff to support pupil progress.
• Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies.
• Provide clear handover notes on pupil progress and lesson outcomes.

Dedicated and adaptable Cover supervisor with experience delivering high-quality teaching on various assignments across a range of schools in the Epping area. Skilled in quickly establishing positive relationships with pupils and staff, maintaining continuity of learning, and creating an engaging classroom environment. Experienced in delivering high quality, engaging lessons, managing classroom behaviour effectively, and ensuring pupils remain motivated and supported throughout temporary placements. Committed to maintaining high educational standards while adapting to the individual needs of each school and class.

Key Responsibilities
