Teaching Personnel in Bedford is seeking a confident and reliable Primary Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across primary schools in and around Bedford.

The ideal candidate will have experience delivering high-quality lessons, managing classrooms effectively, and adapting to various year groups, including SEND and EAL learners. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering high-quality lessons across primary year groups.
  • Experience supporting SEND and EAL learners.
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and practice.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre planned lessons in line with the National Curriculum and school expectations.
  • Follow lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning during staff absence.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet varying abilities, including SEND and EAL learners.
  • Maintain effective classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
  • Assess pupil understanding and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff to support pupil progress.
  • Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times.
  • Provide clear handover notes on pupil progress and lesson outcomes.

Primary Teacher

Location: Bedford

Start Date: 05/10/26
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Full time

Confident and reliable Cover Supervisor with experience delivering high-quality teaching on various assignments across a number of primary schools in and around Bedford. Skilled in quickly establishing positive relationships with pupils and staff, maintaining continuity of learning, and creating an engaging classroom environment. Experienced in delivering high quality, engaging lessons, managing classroom behaviour effectively, and ensuring pupils remain motivated and supported throughout temporary placements. Committed to maintaining high educational standards while adapting to the individual needs of each school and class.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging pre planned lessons in line with the National Curriculum and school expectations.
  • Follow lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning during staff absence.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities, including SEND and EAL learners.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Is adaptable and comfortable working with different year groups and ability levels.
  • Has experience working with a range of different Special needs that pupils might face.
  • Has a clear understanding of Safeguarding and keeping children safe in education.
  • Is enthusiastic, reliable and committed to providing high-quality learning experiences.
  • Can build strong, positive relationships with children.

Working Hours

Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
