Job summary

Long Term Futures Ltd are partnering with a welcoming primary school in Northfield, Birmingham (B31). We are looking for a Year 6 Class Teacher to provide maternity cover, delivering high-quality teaching within Key Stage 2 and supporting pupil progress.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with a daily rate of £169–£262 depending on experience. Applicants should have QTS with induction completed and KS2 experience, plus strong classroom management and a collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with induction completed.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, preferably Year 6.
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and SATs expectations.
• Excellent classroom management and a proactive, collaborative approach.
• Passion for raising attainment and supporting all learners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the Year 6 curriculum.
• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and development.
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies.
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress (including SATs preparation).
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SLT, and parents to support pupil outcomes.
