Job summary

Long Term Futures Ltd are partnering with a welcoming primary school in Northfield (B31) to recruit a Year 6 Class Teacher for maternity cover. The role delivers high-quality teaching within Key Stage 2 and runs Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with a daily rate dependent on experience.

The school is committed to an inclusive environment and strong pupil attainment, with supportive leadership and opportunities to work across a multi-form entry setting in the West Midlands.

Qualifications

• QTS with induction completed.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (preferably Year 6).
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and SATs expectations.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• A proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach.
• Passion for raising attainment and supporting all learners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the Year 6 curriculum.
• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and development.
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies.
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress (including SATs preparation).
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SLT, and parents to support pupil outcomes.

Daily Rate: £169 - £262 per day (dependent on experience)
