Job summary

Long Term Futures are working in partnership with a welcoming Northfield primary school in Birmingham to recruit a Year 6 Class Teacher on a maternity cover. The role focuses on delivering high-quality teaching within Key Stage 2 and maintaining continuity for pupils during this period.

You will plan and deliver engaging lessons from 8:00am to 4:30pm, differentiate for all learners including those with SEND, monitor pupil progress (including SATs preparation) and work closely with Teaching

Qualifications

• QTS with induction completed
• Experience teaching KS2 (Year 6 preferred)
• Strong understanding of primary curriculum and SATs expectations
• Excellent classroom management
• Proactive, flexible and collaborative approach
• Passion for raising attainment and supporting all learners

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the Year 6 curriculum
• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress (including SATs preparation)
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SLT, and parents to support pupil outcomes
