Job summary

Empowering Learning is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant for a long-term role in Bolton. The candidate will support pupils, especially those with SEN and SEMH needs, and work with the class teacher to maintain engagement and progression.

The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, aligned with school hours, and requires commitment to safeguarding. DBS checks and right-to-work checks will be completed as part of pre-employment clearance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a primary school classroom.
• Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching & Learning (desirable).
• Experience supporting children with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils in class, with a focus on those with SEN and/or SEMH needs.
• Working closely with the class teacher to help children stay engaged and make progress.
• Long-term, Monday to Friday, with school hours.
