Job summary

Oasis Academy Harpur Mount, Manchester, is seeking a Primary SEND Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated SEND learning base. You will support a small group of children with complex needs under the direction of a class teacher and help create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.

The successful candidate will embody Oasis values of inclusion, resilience and perseverance while contributing to high-quality teaching and safeguarding. Contract is fixed-term for 12 months and review.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting pupils in SEND settings.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with children, parents and staff.
  • Commitment to inclusion and safeguarding in school environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support a small group of children with complex needs under the direction of a class teacher.
  • Promote safe, stimulating activities and high standard of behaviour management.
  • Contribute to a caring, inclusive learning environment within the SEND base.
