Job summary

Mad 4 Recruitment Ltd in Cheshire seeks experienced Teaching Assistants to support students with Special Educational Needs across several schools. You will assist with educational, social and emotional development on a 1:1 basis, using creative and engaging techniques.

Applicants should have a relevant TA qualification (desirable), be eligible to work in the UK, have recent experience with children, and hold a DBS with update service or be willing to apply.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (desirable)
• Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
• Have previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years
• Excellent knowledge of the full curriculum and assessment frameworks
• Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
• Two references working with children
• Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one

Responsibilities

• Support students on a 1:1 basis with educational, social and emotional development
• Engage with pupils using creative and engaging teaching approaches
• Demonstrate empathy and a non-judgemental attitude in safeguarding settings
• Work across Cheshire schools as needed

Job description

Do you have experience engaging & teaching young people who have Special Educational Needs? Are you a compassionate, flexible and creative individual with a commitment to Safeguarding young people?

We are looking for experienced Teaching Assistants to work with a number of our schools throughout the Cheshire area. Our schools support a range of young people who come with a range of special needs, such as ASD or ADHD, and require understanding, empathy and a non-judgemental approach. On a 1:1 basis, you'll be supporting our students with their educational, social and emotional development by utilising your creative and engaging skills.

In order to be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria:

• Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3) (desirable)
• Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
• Have previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years
• Excellent knowledge of the full curriculum and assessment frameworks
• Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
• Two references working with children
• Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
