Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a dedicated primary teacher for a temporary, full-time supply role in Rochdale.

You will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for a diverse pupil cohort, including those with complex autism and SEND. You will collaborate with teaching assistants and SEND professionals to ensure consistent, supportive learning, developing pupils' confidence, independence and life skills.

Qualifications

Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent is required.
Experience in a primary school setting.
Experience or strong interest in supporting pupils with autism and complex SEND.
Ability to adapt teaching to individual needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patient, nurturing, and consistent in approach.
Able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for a diverse pupil cohort.
Deliver learning experiences while adapting to a range of communication, sensory, social and emotional needs.
Collaborate with teaching assistants, SEND professionals and school staff to provide consistent support.
Develop personalised learning approaches, visual timetables and regulatory strategies where needed.
Support pupils to build confidence, independence and life skills within an inclusive classroom.
