Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated SEND teacher for a specialist school in Rochdale from September 2026. The role is a temporary supply position covering sickness absence, teaching a KS3 class with ASD, SEMH and related needs.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS (or QTLS) and have recent SEND experience, with the ability to adapt lessons and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS Status or QTLS.
• Recent experience of teaching students aged 11 to 16 with SEND.
• Ability to create imaginative, adapted lessons for diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Teach a KS3 class with ASD, SEMH and other needs.
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Direct and support teaching assistants to deliver lessons.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and inclusion.
