Prospero Teaching in Rochdale is seeking an experienced Primary SEND Teacher to join a well-established mixed KS1-KS2 class where pupils work below the national curriculum and have complex needs, including severe learning difficulties and autism. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching in an SEN setting or strong SEN knowledge within mainstream.
Calm, empathetic and resilient classroom management.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, personalised teaching for pupils across KS2, focusing on complex needs.
Plan, adapt, and differentiate engaging lessons to meet EHCP outcomes, milestones, and sensory requirements.
Support pupils' holistic development—academic, social, emotional, and communication skills.
Collaborate with the SENCO, learning support staff, therapists, and families to provide a consistent and effective approach.
Monitor pupil progress, contribute to reports, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
