Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEND Primary Teacher to join a partnered school serving children with SEND, including autism and SEMH needs.

You will plan differentiated lessons, foster an inclusive classroom, and collaborate with TAs, therapists and SENCOs to support pupil progress and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching pupils with SEND in a primary setting is essential.
• Strong understanding of autism, sensory processing and related strategies.
• Excellent communication, empathy and resilience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated SEND-focused lessons.
• Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and SENCOs.
• Track pupil progress using EHCP targets and PLPs.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Primary Teacher to join one of our partnered schools that caters to children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including autism, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

• Contribute to a whole-school ethos that puts pupils’ wellbeing first.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience working with children with SEND, ideally in a primary setting.
• Strong understanding of autism, sensory processing and behaviour management strategies.
