Job summary

The Education Network Birmingham is seeking a qualified SENCO for a primary school role. You will lead the SEND provision, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, teachers, support staff and families to ensure appropriate provision for pupils with additional needs.

The successful candidate will oversee EHCPs and statutory SEND processes, guide staff, and liaise with external agencies to secure the best outcomes for pupils.

Qualifications

• Qualified SENCO with understanding of SEND Code of Practice.
• Experience in primary education SEND provision.
• Ability to coordinate EHCPs, reviews and statutory processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the school's SEND provision.
• Ensure pupils with SEND receive appropriate support.
• Oversee EHCPs, reviews and statutory SEND processes.
• Collaborate with teachers, TAs, parents and external agencies.
• Monitor progress and outcomes for pupils with SEND.
• Provide training and guidance to staff.
• Maintain accurate SEND records.
• Work with SLT to promote high expectations.
