Job summary

Classroom Support are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Greenwich. You will provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs and help them access the curriculum, supporting progress in learning.

The ideal candidate is patient, caring and resilient with experience in SEND settings, and a good understanding of ASD/ADHD and behaviour management. DBS checks and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary-aged children, especially with special educational needs.
• Patient, caring and resilient with ability to build positive relationships.
• Good understanding of ASD/ADHD and related behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs.
• Support low-attaining children to access curriculum and learning goals.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing through interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers and SEND staff to monitor progress.
