Qualifications

• Experience with supporting pupils with SEN, disabilities or additional needs.
• Experienced working with primary aged pupils across Key Stage One and Key Stage Two.
• Knowledge of Makaton or BSL is a plus.

The Job…

Working in a small class of around 13 pupils, you will be delivering work to cover the whole alternative curriculum. The children have a range of SEN needs including ASD and MLD, across Primary year groups, mainly Key Stage 2. The school offers a nurturing and cheerful environment, promoting independence and interpersonal skills amongst its pupils, whilst delivering a highly individualised and specialised curriculum.

You’ll Be…

* A Qualified Primary Teacher in possession of QTS
* Experience of young people with SEN, disabilities or additional needs
* Experienced working with primary aged pupils across Key Stage One (KS1) and Key Stage Two (KS2)
* Able to hold student attention and focus with excellent communication skills
* Promote happiness, self-reliance and encourage positive interactions
