Hays Education has recently seen an increased need for local Special Educational Needs Teachers in Schools across Greater Manchester for day-to-day and long-term supply with the potential for permanent contracts. We work with schools across Salford, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, Tameside, Trafford, and Stockport, offering local work in your preferred areas. We are recruiting for an Alternative Provision School in Manchester for students aged 11-18 who have been excluded from mainstream education due to challenging behaviour. The school seeks passionate individuals who can build trusting and positive relationships with students to support their academic and personal development.

Your new role

We are recruiting a full-time Special Educational Needs Teacher to join ASAP on a temporary to permanent basis. The role involves working in challenging settings with exceptional pupils, supporting their social, life, and independence skills, and making a positive impact on their lives. You will need to build trusting relationships and motivate students, providing individual attention and reassurance as needed.

What you'll need to succeed

The candidate must have Qualified Teacher Status and experience working with children and young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs and/or challenging behaviour. ECTs are also encouraged to apply.
