Teaching Personnel is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work across primary schools in Coalville. The role focuses on providing dedicated 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN, helping them engage with lessons and build confidence.

Ideal candidates will have prior school-based experience, strong communication skills, and a patient, adaptable approach to meet individual learning needs in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school, nursery or similar setting
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN
• Able to provide 1:1 and small-group support
• Patient, caring and approachable
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEN and additional needs
• Deliver and support small-group interventions
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning
• Support pupils' social, emotional and academic development
• Help manage behaviour positively and effectively
• Work closely with teachers and the wider school team
• Adapt support to meet individual pupils' needs
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
