Qualifications

• First aid qualification (e.g., Paediatric First Aid)
• Experience with children in school/healthcare settings
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Excellent communication with pupils, parents, carers and staff
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Calm, compassionate, and patient approach
• Attention to detail and confidential record-keeping

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for unwell or injured pupils during the school day
• Provide first aid according to school policies and requirements
• Administer prescribed medication with parental consent and healthcare guidance
• Maintain confidential records of incidents, treatments and medications
• Liaise with parents, carers and healthcare professionals regarding pupil health
• Prepare and maintain pupil care plans and health information
• Support pupils with chronic health conditions per healthcare plans
• Monitor medical room and ensure supplies are stocked
• Coordinate health-related visits and vaccinations as required
• Safely store and share health communications with families
• Ensure safeguarding and confidentiality at all times
• Assist with intimate care where needed and appropriate
