Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Halifax and the surrounding areas.

You will contribute to pupil development across EYFS to KS2, working across different schools, with flexible bookings that can lead to longer-term placements or permanent opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in a school or educational setting.
• Confident with primary-aged pupils and inclusive education.
• Ability to adapt to different classroom environments.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with classroom learning and daily activities.
• Work with individual pupils who require additional assistance.
• Deliver small-group interventions to support learning.
• Help children develop literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
• Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources.

Salary: £90 £120 per day (depending on experience and responsibilities)

Are you passionate about helping primary school pupils develop their confidence and independence? Do you have experience working as a Teaching Assistant, LSA or HLTA? Would you like the flexibility to choose your working days while gaining experience in different schools across Halifax?

TeacherActive is currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Halifax and the surrounding areas.

We work alongside local schools to provide reliable classroom support for day-to-day absences, additional pupil needs and longer-term staffing requirements.

We are looking for individuals who can confidently support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 while adapting to different classroom environments.

Working through TeacherActive offers the opportunity to experience a variety of school settings and discover the type of placement that works best for you.

Although we aim to provide consistent placements at the same school wherever possible, the nature of supply work means you may be required to support different schools throughout the week.

• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hold relevant qualifications where applicable.
