Job summary

Empowering Learning is actively seeking Primary School Teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to join our Derby teaching pool. You will have access to a wide range of Derbyshire schools, from village settings to large multi-form entry academies, and you will select the type of work that best fits your preferences.

Daily supply offers flexible days, long-term supply provides continuity with a class, and permanent roles help you settle into a school long-term.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification.
• Recent experience teaching in a UK primary school, or completion of your ECT induction.
• Confident classroom management and strong communication skills.
• A genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• The right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to complete our full registration and compliance process.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum and the school's planning.
• Teach across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2, depending on your experience and preference.
• Establish and maintain high standards of behaviour in line with each school's policy.
• Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment for all pupils.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, marking work and providing feedback as appropriate.
