Job summary

The Supply Register, in partnership with Wade Deacon Trust, is seeking an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher for a short-term position at a Halewood primary school. The role starts in September 2026 and may extend for the right candidate.

Duties include teaching Year 2, planning engaging lessons, monitoring pupil progress, and working with colleagues to maintain high standards. QTS required; KS1 experience and safeguarding checks needed.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Has experience teaching within a primary school setting, ideally in Key Stage 1.
• Has strong knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum.
• Is confident, organised and adaptable.
• Can quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Has a passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
• Can provide professional references and meet all necessary safeguarding requirements.

The role is initially for one month, starting in September 2026, with the possibility of the position being extended for the right candidate.
