Job summary

GSL Education are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Bournemouth. The role offers full-time hours, 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of £14.24 per hour. This is an excellent opportunity to gain classroom experience while supporting students with diverse needs.

Ideal for those pursuing teaching or teacher training, the role involves working closely with teachers and the SEN team to deliver interventions and support progress across key subjects.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people or within education is desirable.
• Patient, resilient and enthusiastic individuals who enjoy supporting students.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for helping young people succeed.

Responsibilities

• Support students with additional needs, including those with EHCPs.
• Provide in-class support across a range of subjects.
• Deliver small-group and 1:1 interventions.
• Encourage confidence, engagement and positive behaviour for learning.
