Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a welcoming Rushden primary school to appoint a reliable Cover Supervisor for an immediate start. You will supervise primary-aged pupils when a teacher is unavailable, with pre-prepared lessons to keep learners engaged and on task.

Qualifications

• Experienced working with children through education, coaching, mentoring, youth work, care, or a similar setting.
• Confident managing a classroom and behaviour.
• Calm, patient, reliable, and organised.
• A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Professional and confident when working with primary-aged children.
• Passionate about helping children learn and succeed.
• Able to commit to a full-time, long-term position.
• Previous primary school experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils across a range of primary year groups.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure pupils complete their work.
• Maintain a calm, positive, and purposeful classroom environment.
• Set clear expectations and manage behaviour consistently.
• Support pupils with their learning and encourage engagement.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Communicate relevant feedback and concerns to teaching staff.
• Support with breaktime, lunchtime, playground, and other school duties when required.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
