Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Primary Phonics LSA for an immediate start in South Gloucestershire. You will work across KS1 to support phonics, reading and literacy while tailoring support for pupils with SEND, collaborating closely with the class teacher to ensure access to learning and progress.

The role requires experience as an LSA in a primary setting, delivering or supporting phonics interventions, and a patient, nurturing approach with strong teamwork skills.

Job description

Job Title: Primary Phonics LSA
Location: South Gloucestershire
Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £14.25 - £15.50 per hour

Do you have experience delivering phonics interventions to Key Stage 1 / KS1 pupils?

Do you have experience supporting children with SEND in a primary school setting?

Are you a confident and nurturing LSA who can help pupils develop their reading, literacy and independence?

TeacherActive are looking to take on an Primary Phonics LSA on a day-to-day basis with an immediate start. The successful LSA will work across Key Stage 1 / KS1, supporting phonics, reading and literacy while also providing tailored support to pupils with SEND, working closely with the class teacher to help children access their learning and make progress.

The successful LSA will have:

• Experience working as a Learning Support Assistant / LSA in a primary setting
• Experience delivering or supporting phonics interventions within KS1
• Experience supporting children with SEND
• A good understanding of supporting reading and literacy development
• A patient, resilient and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
