Job summary

TeacherActive are seeking a Primary Phonics LSA for a day-to-day role with immediate start in the South Gloucestershire area. The successful candidate will support KS1 pupils with phonics, reading and literacy, while providing tailored SEND support and working closely with the class teacher to enable access to learning and progress.

Applicants should have LSA experience in a primary setting, a proven ability to deliver phonics interventions, and a patient, nurturing approach with strong teamwork

Qualifications

• Experience delivering phonics interventions within KS1.
• Experience supporting children with SEND.
• Strong reading and literacy support background.
• Patient, nurturing approach with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Support phonics, reading and literacy for KS1 pupils.
• Provide tailored SEND support to pupils.

Job Title: Primary Phonics LSA

Location: South Gloucestershire

Start Date: Immediate Start

Salary: £14.25 - £15.50 per hour

Do you have experience delivering phonics interventions to Key Stage 1 / KS1 pupils?

Do you have experience supporting children with SEND in a primary school setting?

Are you a confident and nurturing LSA who can help pupils develop their reading, literacy and independence?

TeacherActive are looking to take on an Primary Phonics LSA on a day-to-day basis with an immediate start. The successful LSA will work across Key Stage 1 / KS1, supporting phonics, reading and literacy while also providing tailored support to pupils with SEND, working closely with the class teacher to help children access their learning and make progress.

The successful LSA will have:

• Experience working as a Learning Support Assistant / LSA in a primary setting
• Experience delivering or supporting phonics interventions within KS1
• Experience supporting children with SEND
• A good understanding of supporting reading and literacy development
• A patient, resilient and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
