Job summary

Education Authority (Northern Ireland) in Bangor is seeking a qualified Primary Teacher. You will plan and deliver lessons, assess pupil progress, and work under the direction of the Principal and Board to support pupil well-being.

You must hold a teaching qualification recognized for NI grant-aided schools, be registered with GTCNI, and demonstrate two years’ teaching experience in Foundation Stage or Key Stage 1, with a commitment to nurture and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Hold a teaching qualification recognized to teach in grant-aided schools in Northern Ireland.
• Be registered with the General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland before taking up post.
• Demonstrable experience in Foundation Stage or Key Stage 1 teaching.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare courses and lessons; teach according to pupils' needs and assess progress.
• Promote pupil welfare, communicate with parents, and maintain records.
• Participate in staff development and contribute to curriculum development.
• Contribute to safeguarding, pastoral arrangements, and partnership with the wider school community.
