Job summary

The Education Authority (Northern Ireland) invites applications for a Teacher - Post-Primary. The successful candidate will teach Business Studies, plan lessons, assess pupils and contribute to school improvement under the direction of the Principal.

Applicants must hold a recognised NI teaching qualification, be registered with GTCNI, and demonstrate effective classroom management, safeguarding knowledge and collaborative skills with colleagues, parents and the wider community.

Qualifications

• Teaching qualification that meets NI recognition
• Degree suitable to teach Business Studies as main subject
• Shortlisting by Application Form, demonstrated experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare courses and lessons for Business Studies
• Teach according to pupils educational needs including setting and marking work
• Assess, record and report on pupils' development and attainment
• Promote pupils' progress and well-being and provide guidance on education and future careers
• Participate in staff development and school improvement activities
• Coordinate with Principal and other teachers on curriculum, assessment and pastoral arrangements
