Job summary

Avara Foods Hereford site is recruiting Night Hygiene Operatives to ensure hygiene standards across our Hereford production facilities. You will report to the Team Leader and work the primary night shift with full training and guaranteed hours.

No prior experience is required, and full training is provided. You’ll contribute to food safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement while benefitting from overtime opportunities and on-site facilities.

Qualifications

• Good level of English and basic numeracy skills.
• The ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively.
• Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks.
• Experience within a production/manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

• Awareness of the usage of material and energy sources.
• Co-operate in the continuous improvement of quality, safety and productivity standards.
• Manual handling of plant and equipment

• Mon -Thurs 21:00-05:00 / Friday 17:00-01:00 £1.61 shift premium

About The Role

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will play an instrumental part in achieving the required hygiene standards with the Hygiene team for Avara Foods. You will adhere to health and safety at all times and follow all tasks in line with food safety rules.

A Little About Our Hereford Site

The Hereford plant is our largest site and processes chicken products across two factory facilities, Grandstand Road and Yazor Road. Grandstand handles processing, whole bird production and portioning, with Yazor responsible for portioning and added value. Across the whole site approximately 1,500 people are employed and it processes 1.9m birds per week.
