Job summary

White Rose Education in Halifax, West Yorkshire, invites applications for a Permanent, Full-time Primary Mathematics Specialist. You will develop high-quality mathematics resources, review curriculum materials and contribute to professional development for teachers, helping to raise outcomes for pupils.

With QTS and strong subject knowledge, you’ll translate classroom expertise into accessible resources, lead on assessment activities and collaborate across the Education team to shape the future

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and ECT induction completed.
• Strong primary Mathematics teaching track record with positive outcomes.
• Commitment to continuing professional development.
• Experience planning, delivering and evaluating mathematics teaching and learning.
• Experience developing teaching resources, curriculum materials or assessments.
• Experience assessing understanding and adapting approaches to learner needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and improve high-quality primary mathematics resources and assessments.
• Contribute to curriculum and assessment review reflecting effective pedagogy and progression.
• Apply knowledge of how children learn mathematics and address common misconceptions.
• Collaborate to evaluate resources and develop new materials.
• Use research and classroom feedback to inform curriculum development.
• Plan and deliver professional development for teachers and school leaders.
• Communicate mathematical ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
• Support wider Primary Maths team with priorities and projects.
• Manage allocated work to meet deadlines and maintain high standards.
