Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking passionate Learning Support Assistants to join partner classrooms this September. A background in education, childcare, or SEN is welcome, with a commitment to supporting young learners and creating inclusive lessons.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in education, youth work, social care, or SEN support.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to connect with learners.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with lesson setups, hands-on activity prep, and lively classroom management.
• Provide dedicated 1-on-1 guidance to children with SEN (Autism, ADHD, speech & language needs).
• Run high-energy small-group sessions in reading, writing, and math to turn learning into a game.
• Help learners adapt activities so everyone feels included and confident.
• Champion positive behaviour using praise, rewards, and total encouragement.
• Keep break times safe, active, and full of positive play.
