Job summary

Remedy Education in Lewisham is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support Secondary schools from September 2026. You will work with teachers to deliver inclusive lessons and provide aid to pupils across KS3 to KS5 in a flexible supply and longer-term capacity.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm with competitive daily pay. An Enhanced DBS is required or a willingness to obtain one, and experience with children is welcomed.

Qualifications

• A Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or relevant childcare qualification, or recent experience working with children.
• Positive, patient, and supportive approach to working with young learners.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Flexibility, reliability, and willingness to work across different school settings.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support across KS3, KS4, and KS5 settings.
• Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
• Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups where required.
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and participation in learning.
• Help create a safe, nurturing, and supportive classroom environment.
• Adapt confidently to different schools and classroom settings.
