Job summary

Provide Education is seeking a dedicated HLTA to join a welcoming primary school in the DN12 area from September 2026. The role is full-time, based in Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3–4), delivering planned lessons when the class teacher is absent and supporting learning across the classroom.

You will lead small group interventions, collaborate with teaching staff to ensure positive outcomes for all pupils, and benefit from ongoing CPD and career progression opportunities offered by Provide Education.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or substantial HLTA-level experience.
• Recent experience in a UK primary school.
• Confident delivering lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Excellent behaviour management.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Provide Education is currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in the DN12 area from September. This is a full-time position, with the successful candidate likely to be based in Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3–4), supporting pupils' learning and delivering high-quality interventions and whole-class teaching when required.

The Role

• Full-time, Monday to Friday
• September start
• Likely placement within Lower Key Stage 2
• Deliver planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
• Support teaching and learning across the classroom
• Lead small group and intervention sessions
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure positive outcomes for all pupils

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a recognised HLTA qualification or has significant experience working at HLTA level
• Has recent experience within a UK primary school
• Confident delivering lessons across the primary curriculum
• Has excellent behaviour management skills
• Is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential
• Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one through Provide Education
