We're currently recruiting for a Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a Primary School in Rochdale on a day-to-day, short-term or long-term basis Starting in September. This role is temporary.

Your main responsibilities will include:
- Lead and deliver lessons independently - Deliver planned lessons and learning activities across different year groups, adapting teaching to meet pupils' needs and maintaining continuity of learning.
- Manage the classroom and behaviour - Establish clear expectations, manage behaviour confidently, and create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment in the absence of the class teacher.
- Support and monitor pupil progress - Assess pupils' understanding, provide targeted support and interventions, and share relevant feedback on learning and progress with the class teacher.
- Work flexibly across the school - Quickly adapt to different schools, classes, routines, curricula, and teaching approaches while maintaining a professional and consistent approach.
- Support wider school responsibilities- Contribute to safeguarding, pupil wellbeing, supervision, SEND provision, and other school duties, working effectively with teachers, support staff, and school leadership.
Requirements or Skills:
- Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Substantial experience working in a school or education setting
- Experience supporting children with a range of abilities and needs (including SEND is desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to supporting learning
- A genuine passion for working with children and desire to see them succeed.
- Comfortable working collaboratively as part of the supportive school team
