Job summary

The Graduate Network is seeking a Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils across KS2 with English, maths and reading. You will lead small intervention groups, provide one-to-one support, and assist with lesson delivery and resource preparation.

Based in a good primary school in the UK, the role offers an immediate start and ends July 2027. A degree in any subject is required, and an Enhanced DBS check is desirable or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Degree in any subject (2:2 or above).
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Interest in working with children and education.

The Role:

As a Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with class teachers across Key Stage 2, supporting pupils in core subjects such as English, maths, and reading. You'll lead small intervention groups, provide one-to-one support for those who need extra help, and assist with lesson delivery and resource preparation. Your support will help boost confidence and raise attainment in the classroom.

The Candidate:

You should hold a degree in any subject and demonstrate strong communication skills, enthusiasm, and a commitment to education. A proactive attitude and the ability to build positive relationships with young learners are key. Any previous experience in schools, tutoring, or youth work will strengthen your application.

Requirements

• Degree - A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Communication - Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS - Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Desire to work in education/with children - A genuine interest in supporting pupils and pursuing a future in teaching.
• Experience working with children - Any relevant experience such as tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering is desirable but not essential.
